
Anna Hudovych, soprano
Biography
Anna Hudovych is an opera singer from Ukraine.
In June 2024 Anna debuted as Santuzza in "Cavalleria Rusticana" by P. Mascagni at Teatro Adads Academy (Milan, Italy).
While studying at Adads Academy, she was also working on the part of Nedda in "Pagliacci" by R. Leoncavallo under guidance of Marco Beretta and Alessandro Castelucci.
In May 2023 Anna studied at Carlo Bergonzi Academy in Teatro Giuseppe Verdi (Busseto, Italy) where she attended The Masterclass with Fabio Armiliato on preparation of the role of Cio-Cio-San "Madama Butterfly". During this masterclass, she was studying with renowned singers and vocal teachers Fabio Armiliato and Chiara Giudice; Simone Maria Marziali (pianist, conductor and vocal coach), Lorenzo Bizzarri (conductor and pianist), Eddy Lovaglio (stage director) and prepared the part of Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly).
Anna also participated in Omega Opera Workshop (Sofia, 2021), Omega Opera Workshop & K. S. Iordanka Derilova Masterclass (Berlin, 2021), Omega Opera Workshop (Sofia, 2020) held by famous Bulgarian singers and vocal coaches Krum Galabov, Daniela Diakova and K. S. Iordanka Derilova.
She also attended masterclasses by Capucine Chiaudani (2020).
Higher Musical Education: 2014 - 2018: National academy of culture and arts management (Kyiv, Ukraine) - Master's degree in classical singing. Her singing teachers at the Academy were professors Viktor Kavun and Mykola Sikora.
Before and during her studying at the Academy she also received private singing lessons and attended singing masterclasses of famous Ukrainian singers and singing teachers Inna Andriyash, Iryna Ukrainets, Nadiya Kudelya and Anastasia Burgarova.

Anna possesses a voice of a wide vocal range and dark timbre that enables her to produce when necessary low notes of a mezzo-soprano and contralto, transparent high notes of high lyric soprano and stratospheric high notes of coloratura soprano. Her vocal technique can be characterized as a nuanced one, including well-developed cantilena and ability to sing dramatically rich phrases and climaxes. Having a voice of a broad range, she performs works written for dramatic soprano, mezzo-soprano, contralto, spinto soprano, lirico-spinto soprano and full lyric soprano.
As for her repertoire specialization, she mainly sings the pieces by Verismo composers (G. Puccini, P. Mascagni, F. Cilea, A. Catalani, R. Leoncavallo, U. Giordano) and G. Verdi. She also sings works by A. Dvorak, F. Lehar, A. Ponchielli, C. Saint-Saёns, E. Villa-Lobos, A. Zhubanov, L. Khamidi, M. Lysenko, S. Hulak-Artemovskyi and others.
Anna has been taking part in concerts since 2015 and has been performing solo recitals since 2016. The concerts took place in Kyiv, Ukraine - at the House of Scientists (Solo recitals of Anna Hudovych - December 2016, May 2018, July 2020, July 2021, December 2022), at the Museum of Book and Printing of Ukraine (Solo recitals of Anna Hudovych - July 2017, July 2019, December 2019), at the Actor Hall (The concert in the memory of S. Burago - June 2015), at the National Ecological and Naturalistic Center of Student Youth (The concert of classical music -May 2015); in Sofia, Bulgaria - at Boris Christoff Museum (Final concerts of Omega Opera Workshops - February 2020, October 2021), in Berlin, Germany (the Bulgarian Cultural Institute (BCI) in Berlin - Final concert of Omega Opera Workshop & K. S. Iordanka Derilova Masterclass (September 2021).
As a concert singer, Anna has so far collaborated with such pianists and accompanists, as Tetiana Borysenko (Tetiana Victory), Liudmyla Skirko, Viviana Grudanska, Ermila Schweizer, Iryna Dyachenko, Nataliya Kurinna.
